Launch

Rifat learned about the SEED program from a city councillor. He took the six-month "Build a Business" business management training program and that helped him set up his restaurant business.

Ongoing Operation

Rifat's restaurant has done well because it serves healthy Mediterranean style cuisine. The restaurant is also popular because of its Italian name. (Quatro Staggioni means "four seasons" in Italian.) One of his best-selling items is a specialty sausage. He sells approximately 4,000 portions of this per year.

Support

SEED not only helped Rifat launch his business, they provided support in running the business as well. The SEED consultant advised him about marketing campaigns like flyers and getting the restaurant reviewed in the Winnipeg Free Press, which was good publicity for his business.
