Daniel and Verena each had several years of farming experience before they started their cattle farm here. They grew up on farms in Switzerland and Daniel took a two year college course in his home country in dairy farming.

The Lehmanns came to Canada to work on dairy farms in Ontario three different times before they bought farm land in Manitoba. They call their farm a "grass farm" which they manage for soil health, by grazing cattle on it.
