The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba (APEGM) assigned Alexandra four confirmatory exams in order to achieve the academic qualification.
Alexandra completed two exams through the APEGM assessment program and the remaining two through the Internationally Educated Engineers Qualification (IEEQ) Pilot Program at the University of Manitoba. Alexandra received her qualification in 26 months, which was accelerated by four months of IEEQ.
Alexandra had two years experience in Colombia and eight months in Canada (in progress). For professional development, she took internal and external courses in manufacturing and continuous improvement. For volunteer service requirements, Alexandra is a local Cub Scout leader and volunteers with a Colombian community group.
