"Back home, people don't work so hard. But here, you really have to work hard to show what you are able to do. Back in Kenya I was getting a salary. I wasn't getting paid by the hour. While here, it is by the hour or by the job.

"So if you want to make a living, you have to work hard. Back home I could just be doing an hour's job and do it in a whole day and I get my salary. So that was a challenge that I had to overcome."
